Yes, if you purchase one of our scripts you can easily host your own murder mystery party. The script includes all the materials and instructions to run a successful party.

If you choose to host a murder mystery party yourself, you will have access to the entire script and know in advance who the murderer is. Once you purchase the script and confirm attendance with your guests, you will be sending them their character descriptions to let your guests prepare for the party. You will have to print the materials included in the package, think about the decorations and the menu. During the evening, you will be playing a role of a detective. You will be guiding the guests on the quest of untangling the murder puzzle.

For larger groups we included an option for 2 hosts to run the party that we recommend using. Each one of the 2 hosts will have a separate character and help run the party.

If you opt for our facilitation services, one or two of our facilitators will be playing the role of the detective/s and will guide all the guests on their missions to resolve the murder. You will not know in advance what will happen during the evening. Our team will send you a table with short character descriptions to allow you pick your character and assign characters to your guests. You will also receive separate files each containing the character’s name in its title. Without opening these files you can send them as an attachment to each one of your guests. The facilitator will bring the party props and all the printed materials that are needed for the party. We will make sure that everyone accomplishes their missions and has a great time resolving the murder. During the party you can relax and play your role. We will take care that the game runs smoothly.

No, you can use and read from the script during the party. Once you print the script and remove the characters information sheets (to be distributed to your guests during the party), the remaining part will represent the party host’s script. The script is color-coded and very easy to use. In addition, we will include an editable version of the script in your package in case you wish to introduce any changes. Each script contains clear instructions on how to run your murder mystery party.

Our scripts come in 3 different formats for small, medium and large groups. Before purchasing the script you can check the minimum and the maximum number of guests for each version and choose the script that suits your group. We do not create scripts for more than 50 people, as we believe it would not allow all your guests to have meaningful participation in resolving the murder.

Essential characters are characters whose presence is required to successfully run the script and resolve the murder. Non-essential characters have additional missions and story lines, but their presence is not essential to resolving the crime. Non-essential characters are created to give you greater flexibility while organizing your party based on the number of guests that will attend.

Absolutely not! Each character has an interesting personality and a story line. Whatever character your guests will be playing they will have a great time. There is a lot of room for improvisation. Each character will be what your guests will make of it

Each script contains a summary table detailing the names of all the characters, their missions, their gender, an indication whether they are essential. This allows you to quickly plan your party.

Murder mystery party is a role play with a number of characters’ missions being interlinked. We strongly suggest sharing the character sheets with your guests well in advance and ensuring that at least all the essential characters attend the party.

Yes, we will provide an editable version of the script to allow you introduce any changes. Please note that we do not guarantee the quality of the script if it is manipulated by you. Yes, the price is different depending on the version of the script you choose for your event. Each version of the script is adopted to the number of characters. It provides you with an optimal solution in terms of content and price.

We offer 3 types of packages:

Package 1: a script (including all the extras to be printed) that comes in 3 different formats. You can choose the version that is suitable for the size and composition of your group. Alternatively, we can create a custom-made script tailored to the number of your guests and their gender.

Package 2: everything included in Package 1 plus:

• the print out of the script and the extras

• renting the party props for the day of your party

Package 3: everything included in Packages 1 and 2 plus party facilitation by Perfectly Premeditated.

Each script is slightly different depending on the story line. The package that you receive with each script typically contains:

• Full script including summary character list and character information sheets and mission instructions to be shared with your guests (in 1 file). The script is formatted in such a way that you only have to print it once (one-sided) to have everything in place to run your party.

• The following extras that might vary depending on the script

  • Party invitations

  • Name tags

  • Guest list and organigram to be shared with all your guests either electronically or as a hard copy during the party

  • Clues to be printed

  • Voting sheets to be printed (optional, in case you want to have an awards ceremony)

  • Voting results sheet to be printed (optional, in case you want to have an awards ceremony)

  • Award templates to be printed (optional, in case you want to have an awards ceremony)

  • While the extras are optional we strongly recommend using name tags, especially for larger groups.

You must purchase a script for each game you wish to run. Once you’ve purchased a script, though, you may run the game as many times as you want to! Just remember, though: your license is limited, and personal to you. If anyone else wishes to run a game, they much purchase their own script. Anyone who uses our materials without a license is committing copyright infringement. (And if you help them, you’re just a liable as they are.) Please be aware that we do monitor the internet for cases of infringement and we do prosecute when infringement occurs

No. As noted in the terms and conditions, you may not reproduce these games and/or allow anyone else access to the games.

Don’t run a game for commercial purposes unless you have purchased a commercial license. Without a commercial license, you (or your company) cannot charge any individual to take part or be a spectator while the game(s) are being played; nor may you include it in a package for which you have charged the individual. This pertains to, but is not limited to, such events as dinners run by restaurants in which the game is played at the restaurant, a function for a club in which the attendees are paying members, overnights at a bed and breakfast, etc.
